Funeral collections

When organising a memorial or funeral service for a loved one, many people choose to ask for donations to be given in lieu of flowers. This is a lovely way for family and friends to honour the memory of a loved one, and to create a lasting legacy by making a difference to the lives of other people in their name.

Forget-me-not tribute pages

Sobell House’s forget-me-not tribute pages provide you with the chance to set up your own special memorial website in tribute to your loved one. You can use it to collect donations for Sobell House in your loved one’s name. It shows you the total amount donated so that over the weeks or years you can continue to see the legacy of your loved one.

Sobell House Memory Tree

The Sobell House Memory Tree is a beautifully designed artwork, which has been installed at the Hospice, and you are invited to dedicate a leaf on the tree to your loved one. By purchasing a leaf in support of Sobell House, not only will you be honouring the memory of someone close to you, but you will be helping us to care for local families, so they can create their own new memories to cherish.

Make an online dedication

Make an online dedication in your loved one’s memory. Choose to dedicate a flower or leaf on our Memory Meadow, or a star on our Night Sky.

As the Memory Meadow and Night Sky are virtual you can visit them at any time to see your dedication, which we hope will bring you comfort.

Lights of Love

We hold our Lights of Love remembrance service every year in early December.

For many of our community this is an important event, as it offers the chance to come together with others in a similar situation to remember loved ones no longer with us.
