Over our decades of care, we have seen the value to patients and their families of being able to spend time outside. For so many, feeling the sun – or even the rain – on their face becomes part of the therapeutic process and improves their physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.

In 2019, thanks to the help of our generous supporters, we completed work on our wonderful new hospice building, which gives us lovely light and space – but we have since recognised that our courtyard has not kept pace. That’s why we want to improve our courtyard, with a transformative overhaul that will make sure that it continues to soothe, comfort and bring joy to anyone who visits it. We have big plans to transform the space, including installing a therapeutic water feature, lots of pots and flower beds to showcase beautiful flowers and bulbs, and of course a comfortable seating area.
