Dedicate a leaf to your loved one
The Sobell House Memory Tree is a beautifully designed artwork, which has been installed at the Hospice. You are invited to dedicate a leaf on the tree to your loved one. Each leaf on the tree is packed full of love, experiences and memories.
By purchasing a leaf and supporting Sobell House you will help us to ensure that our patients can live life to the fullest, and in doing so you’ll be enabling other local families to create new memories to cherish. You can dedicate a leaf in memory of anyone special to you, even if they were not cared for by Sobell House Hospice.
The Memory Tree is located in a bright and peaceful space in the Hospice, near the charity office. While restrictions and social distancing measures remain in place at the Hospice, we are very pleased to say that we are now able to invite you to visit your special dedication on the Memory Tree. Which kind of dedication are you making?
Once
Your dedication will remain part of our display for one year. At the end of your year you can either renew it or we will send it to you to keep.
Monthly
Your dedication will remain part of our display until you decide you no longer want it. If you cancel your direct debit (or contact us asking to conclude your dedication) we will send it to you to keep.

Dedicate a bronze leaf to your loved one. Messages on the leaf are limited to 26 characters, excluding spaces. Your leaf will remain on the tree for one year, after which point you can choose to renew it or take it home as a keepsake.
£200 – Silver Leaf
Dedicate a silver leaf to your loved one. Messages on the leaf are limited to 26 characters, excluding spaces. Your leaf will remain on the tree for one year, after which point you can choose to renew it or take it home as a keepsake.
£300 – Gold Leaf
Dedicate a gold leaf to your loved one. Messages on the leaf are limited to 26 characters, excluding spaces. Your leaf will remain on the tree for one year, after which point you can choose to renew it or take it home as a keepsake.
£500 – Cow Parsley flower
Dedicate a Cow Parsley flower to your loved one. Messages on the flower are limited to 50 characters, excluding spaces. Your flower will remain on the tree for another year, after which point you can choose to renew it or take it home as a keepsake.

Dedicate a bronze leaf to your loved one. Messages on the leaf are limited to 26 characters, excluding spaces. Your leaf will remain on the tree for one year, after which point you can choose to renew it or take it home as a keepsake.
£16.66 per month Silver Leaf
Dedicate a silver leaf to your loved one. Messages on the leaf are limited to 26 characters, excluding spaces. Your leaf will remain on the tree for one year, after which point you can choose to renew it or take it home as a keepsake.
£25 per month Gold Leaf
Dedicate a gold leaf to your loved one. Messages on the leaf are limited to 26 characters, excluding spaces. Your leaf will remain on the tree for one year, after which point you can choose to renew it or take it home as a keepsake.
£41.66 per month Cow Parsley Flower
Dedicate a Cow Parsley flower to your loved one. Messages on the flower are limited to 50 characters, excluding spaces. Your flower will remain on the tree for another year, after which point you can choose to renew it or take it home as a keepsake.
Making a dedication in memory of a loved one is easy to do
In exchange for your leaf we ask you to make a donation to help support other families who need our care. There are four types of dedications on the Memory Tree to choose from:
– Bronze Leaf £100 or £8.33 per month
– Silver Leaf £200 or £16.66 per month
– Gold Leaf £300 or £25 per month
– Cow Parsley Flower £500 or £41.66 per month (none currently available)
Your leaf or flower will be engraved with a message of your choice, and will stay on our Memory Tree for a year, after which you will be offered the chance to renew it or have it returned to you as a keepsake.

Frequently asked questions
Where is the Memory Tree located?
The Memory Tree is located in the new extension of Sobell House. Enter using the new entrance opposite the Golf Club (signposted ‘Sobell House Outpatients’ and ‘Lymphoedema’). Upon entering, go up the stairs to your right and the Memory Tree can be found in front of you. It’s located in a beautiful bright space, with a comfortable seating area to the left of it which overlooks the golf club.

How long can my dedication message be?
Your message can be 26 characters, excluding spaces, if you choose to add a Gold, Silver or Bronze leaf. Your message can be 50 characters, excluding spaces, if you choose to add a Cow Parsley flower.
How long will it take for my dedication to be added?
It will take two to three weeks for your dedication to be added to the Memory Tree. Your dedication message will be sent to our specialist engraver to add to your leaf or flower, and will be added to the Memory Tree as soon as we receive it here at Sobell House.
Will you tell me when my dedication is on the Memory Tree?
We will send you an email to let you know as soon as your dedication has been installed on the Memory Tree. In addition we will send a photo of your dedication by post.
How long will my dedication stay on the Memory Tree?
If you make a one-off payment, your dedication will remain part of our display for one year. At the end of your year, you can either renew your leaf/flower or we will send it to you to keep.
If you make a monthly payment, your dedication will remain part of our display until you decide you no longer want it. If you cancel your direct debit (or contact us asking to conclude your dedication) we will send it to you to keep.
