Oliver the Sobell superstar

1st June 2021
On Monday 31st May, Oliver took on the challenge of climbing the equivalent height of Scafell Pike at his local climbing centre, Clip n Climb. Not only that, he set himself a time limit of 3.5 hours to complete the challenge.

We’re really pleased and proud to say that Oliver achieved his challenge, climbing 978 metres in 3.5 hours. Well done Oliver!

We checked in with Oliver to ask him what had inspired him to take on this challenge. This is what he said:

“Although I don’t really remember, my Mum said I went to Sobell House to visit my great gran. She said they looked after her really well. I really enjoy going to Clip n Climb and wanted to challenge myself and raise some money for an important charity. When I’m older I would love to climb a real mountain”.

If you would like to support Oliver’s cause, there’s still time! Please visit his JustGiving page here.
