  • Good driving skills, and hold a clean driving licence

  • Reliable
  • Ability to deal with distressing and challenging situations should they arise
  • Ability to empathise with others
  • Can work effectively as part of a team or with minimum supervision

Volunteering duties

  • Transport patients/relatives between their homes and Sobell House
  • Collect or deliver small items of equipment from / to a patient’s home

Training

  • Fire safety – On induction and annually thereafter
  • Safeguarding adults – On Induction and 3 yearly thereafter
  • Online training package – approximately 6 hours
  • Wheelchair and assisting patients
  • Handwashing/infection control – On induction

Mileage expenses are paid at 0.45 per mile.

Shifts available

Monday – Friday: Days and hours negotiable.
