On Thursday 24th June, we were able to host a very special outdoor event to thank our amazing volunteers for all of their incredible support and hard work.

We would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to Oxford City Football Club for hosting us – we felt so safe at your lovely venue and you made it such a fabulous day.

Our volunteers all received a picnic bag and gift, which they enjoyed alongside a hot drink of their choice. Having an outside venue meant that we were able to structure the day in groups of 30 with plenty of room to socially distance. Our volunteers said how amazing it was that they could all spend time together as they hadn’t seen each other in such a long time.

We would also like to thank Marks and Spencer, Tesco, Waitrose & Partners, The Midcounties Co-operative, Notcutts Garden Centre, and Stagecoach Oxfordshire for your generous donations of food, drink, and gift vouchers. Prizes were awarded throughout the day, and the top prize of the stagecoach tickets was won by Josie, who has volunteered at Sobell House for 23 years!
