Ways to Remember
Celebrate and remember a loved one while making a difference at the same time, by helping us be there for others who need our care and support.
Make a donation
Donating in someone’s name is a special way to honour their memory. Every pound helps fund our essential care. Donate in memory of a loved one online or by calling 01865 857007. We will make sure we keep a record of how much has been donated over time in memory of your loved one.
Funeral collections and Tribute pages
Many families choose to collect money in memory of their loved one, and we’re here to help if this is something you’d like to do.
Creating an online Tribute page is a wonderful way to celebrate the life of someone you love and to share your precious memories whilst raising vital funds for Sobell House in their name. Creating a fundraising page with MuchLoved or JustGiving provides you with an online space where you, your friends and family can share photos and memories as well as a place where you can support the hospice by making donations.
We can also provide Donation Envelopes if you’d like to collect donations at a funeral service. Donation Envelopes can be posted directly to you, or to the Funeral Director, so they are ready for the memorial service. Funeral directors are willing to collect donations in lieu of flowers, and will send the donations to us directly. To order Donation Envelopes, or to get support setting up a tribute page, please get in touch.
Add a dedication to our Memory Meadow
Our Sobell Memory Meadow is a special place to remember and celebrate the lives of loved ones who are no longer with us, but who live forever in our hearts and memories.
Take on a fundraising challenge
Taking part in a challenge event or organise your own fundraising event is a wonderful tribute and a really special way to remember someone special to you.
Join our Lights of Love remembrance service
Our annual remembrance event, Lights of Love, gives you the opportunity to remember loved ones by dedicating a light on our tree of remembrance. Due to Covid-19, this year’s event will take place virtually, on Saturday 5th December. You will also be able to remember friends and family by dedicating a light online in their memory.
