Mark’s Story

This is Mark, who attended our 12-week day services programme. Mark enjoyed our music therapy sessions, and used his time with our music therapist, Tom, to record storybooks for his young son. The time helped him to process his life-limiting illness and allowed him to leave a lasting legacy. Click the video to hear about his experiences.

Julia’s Story

This is Julia, who was supported by Sobell House after her diagnosis of breast cancer. The hospice supported her and her husband during the difficult time for both of them. She talks of her positive experience at Sobell House, and about how important it was to her to die peacefully in a caring and supportive environment.

Share your story

It’s so important to us to raise awareness of the care and support we provide to our local community, and demonstrate the impact our services have on our patients and those who love and care for them. In order to do this, we’re encouraging patients, family members, and friends, to share their stories of their experience with us.

Your story could provide comfort to those facing a similar situation, giving them reassurance that they are not alone. You may also inspire people to fundraise for us, donate to us, or volunteer for us, all of which are incredibly important to keep our services running.
