Oxford Half

15th October 2023
Location
Oxford

The Oxford Half Marathon is returning to the historic streets of Oxford! Join us this year as a member of Team Sobell and feel part of something very special.
The race begins on Broad Street in the city centre and passes through Old Marston village, the River Cherwell, Oxford University’s Lady Margaret Hall, before finally finishing on Parks Road. Live entertainment and DJs will keep you running (or dancing – we won’t judge) to the finish line as you take in the stunning sights Oxford has to offer.
Limelight Sports, the organisers of the Oxford Half, said: “Sobell House Hospice brought so much energy and enthusiasm to last year’s event and we can’t wait for their team to return in 2023!”
By joining Team Sobell you will receive:
- Free registration – you save £48.
- Fundraising and training support including access to a private Team Sobell Facebook group.
- A free Sobell House running t-shirt
- A goody bag on race day.
- The ‘feel-good factor’, knowing that you are making a difference to people at the end of life.
- An Oxford Half finisher goody bag, t-shirt, and medal.
As we pay for your place in the race, we ask that you must reach the minimum fundraising target of £150. This helps us fund your place and additional costs such as your Sobell House t-shirt, admin costs, goody bags, and support on race day for all of our amazing runners.
Most importantly, your fundraising makes a huge difference to people in Oxfordshire living with a life-limiting illness. £150 could help fund a two-hour bereavement café session for up to 15 people, helping to connect those who have lost a loved one and provide them with support.
Please note that we will be taking photographs at this event for future marketing purposes and there will be professional photography taken on the day too. If you do not consent to your photo being used, please speak to a member of staff on the day.
